OFFICE OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IS NOW OPEN

Note: All Children in the parish: Are to be given the opportunity to receive instruction in their faith. All parish children will be given the opportunity to register in the Parish Education Program

REGISTRATION FOR THE PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION Will be held on Thursday, August 30th at 7:30 PM in the Church Hall. A parent or an adult representative of the students 1st - 8th grades MUST ATTEND this registration meeting. Registration will be taken immediately after the meeting

REGISTRATION FOR KINDERGARTEN will take place in January, date to be announced in the bulletin.
FAMILIES who cannot (for a good reason) make the scheduled date for registration are asked to call the Office of Religion in advance of the meeting.

YEARLY RE-REGISTRATION is required of all children. Even if your children have been in the program before, they must re-register. Children of families who are registered in Good Shepherd but living outside of Good Shepherd boundaries and not attending Catholic schools, or in the Catholic Home Schooling programs MUST BE ATTENDING THE PARISH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION grades 1 through 12 to maintain parish membership.

CERTIFICATE OF BAPTISM must be presented if registering for the first time. Children baptised at GOOD SHEPHERD do not need a certificate. Also, children from other parishes must present a letter of grade certification.

YOUNG ADULT PROGRAM (grades 9-12) will register on the same date listed above, between 8-8:30 PM in the Church Hall and after late registration on Tuesday, September 4th from 8-8:30 PM.
PLEASE NOTE: In Good Shepherd Parish religious education is mandatory for all young adults of High School age (Grades 9-12). POSITIVELY ON ONE will be permitted to take part in Liturgical functions, e.g., Official Witnesses, Sponsors for Baptism, Confirmation , or Matrimony, either in Good Shepherd (or with permission) in other parishes without fulfilling all parish Religious Eduction requirements.

PARENT MEETING: Remote Preparation (1st Year) for Confirmation will be held on Thursday, August 30th after the registration meeting in Room #4 of the Relition Center

NOTE: ALL CCD FAMILIES SHOULD BE ATTENDING MASS REGUALARLY AT GOOD SHEPHERD AND SHOULD BE ENVELOPE USERS.
